Spring Cleaning Tips

April is the best time to get your spring cleaning done so that you are ready for summer! No one likes to be stuck inside in the summer months, so by spending some time deep cleaning now, you will be all set later on.

In the Kitchen

A room in the house that typically needs quite a bit of cleaning is the kitchen. From hard to reach spots to plenty of appliances, it is important to spend some time in this area. The most important spots to hit are the cabinets, the fridge, and the oven. Clean out your pantry-you’ll be amazed to see what is hiding behind the food you go through the most! Give your oven, dishwasher, countertops, and fridge a deep scrub. In general, anything with stainless steel should be washed properly.

Bedroom Bathroom

This likely goes without saying, but the bathroom definitely needs to be hit during spring cleaning! Any tiled surfaces, stainless steel, and countertops need to be washed. It is important to hit the bedroom in regards to your mattress, all your bedding, and a complete re-organization of your closet!

General Indoor and Outdoor

Any carpets and wood floors, along with painted walls, need to be maintained. What better time to do this than during spring cleaning? Additional indoor parts that should be covered are your washing machine and dryer, area rugs, and any bookshelves. Organizing your home will leave you happier and less stressed. Outdoor areas that need to be cleaned are your windows and patio furniture. In addition, organizing your garage and giving it a good sweep will make more room for any storage and leave your garage less cluttered.

Spring cleaning can seem overwhelming, but knowing what needs to be cleaned and how to clean it will give you an edge.
